Tre giorni fa, il 20 gennaio, è stata scoperta una grave vulnerabilità che affligge le versioni di KDE dalla 3.2.0 alla recente 3.5.0.
La vulnerabilità sarebbe un buffer overflow basato su heap, e si trova nell'interprete Java del browser Konqueror. La vulnerabilità è seria, e può essere sfruttata da un utente remoto convincendovi a visitare con Konqueror un sito web che contiene codice Java maligno.
Il sito di KDE ha già rilasciato le patch scaricabili a questo indirizzo per le versioni dalla 3.4 alla 3.5 , mentre a questo per versioni dalla 3.2 alla 3.3.2
